Biography

Erin was raised in Columbia County in upstate New York, where she attended Ichabod Crane High School, which had a dedicated music program. She was always involved in musical theater, choruses, and every extracurricular musical group offered.

Erin attended SUNY Purchase straight out of high school where she studied opera in the conservatory for one year. After deciding that it was not the musical career she wanted to pursue, she took some time off and moved to New York City where she started her first funk cover band, "The Motion Tactic." It was then that she realized her true style of singing was much more geared toward the pop genre. She decided to return to school and enrolled in City College of New York with Jazz Vocal Performance as her major. It was there that she began her own project of songwriting and band leading for the first time. "Jean Fight" is a Funky Pop band with influences of Jazz, R&B, Soul, Disco, and Rock. She also sings and plays percussion in "The Bushwick Gospel Singers." Her latest joined group is a Motown-vibe cover group called "FoTown." For a short period of time, she was also in an Afrobeat band called "Birch & The Tiger," which broke up after about two years.

Throughout her endeavors as a growing singer and musician, she has done a multitude of recordings, including working with and under the great Vaneese Thomas (daughter to Rufus Thomas of STAX Records and sister to Carla Thomas, the '60's superstar) and her husband Wayne Warnecke of Peaceful Waters Studios, Stax of Wax Productions, Andrew Fox's first album, and many more. She has also recorded many tracks for a hip hop band that she sings in, "Glitch Mouth."

Erin will be graduating in May 2013 and will continue to pursue her musical career full speed ahead.
